Description/Job Summary

Brooks Instrument is an industry leader in flow and pressure measurement and control products for critical applications, and a division of ITW (A Fortune 200 Company).  We are seeking candidates for a Process Lead / Team Lead (3rd Shift).  This position will be based out of our headquarters facility in Hatfield, PA (Suburban Philadelphia). In addition to our Pennsylvania operations, Brooks maintains manufacturing, sales, and service center facilities around the world  Our products are used in laboratory and process applications in end markets such as: life sciences, petro-chemicals, semiconductor, analytical instruments, nuclear, and solar cells.

Basic Function

Perform in a working leadership role in the assigned factory production area to assure production goals are achieved in a continuous improvement environment. Coaching and motivating team to meet and exceed expectations as success in this role depends on the productivity of the entire team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promote and develop an environment of continuous improvement within the department.
  • Maintain acceptable 5S level in the assembly and calibration cells.  Drive improvement in 5S if acceptable levels are not met.
  • Actively contribute in ITW Toolbox events.
  • Clearly communicate and set work priorities for the Team.
  • Train and develop team members for increased flexibility (cross-training) in the workforce.
  • Assist supervisor in developing and implementing Lean improvements.
  • Perform production duties such as assembly, calibration, and glass manufacturing as needed.
  • Regular attendance and the ability to get along with others in a team environment.
  • Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Support company continual improvement initiatives.
  • Perform accurate inventory transactions.
  • Communicate with other departments in the organization (Planning, Engineering & Quality) to meet company goals.
  • Drive metric improvements using the SQDIP board.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High school degree or equivalent is required. 
  • Experience with manufacturing a variety of products in multiple phases of assembly and calibration preferred. 
  • PC experience, expertise in Microsoft Office programs and business system experience preferred.
